School Awards

Bronze Level Modeshift STARS Accreditation

Modeshift STARS is the national schools awards scheme that has been established to recognise schools that have demonstrated excellence in supporting cycling, walking and other forms of sustainable travel. The scheme encourages schools across the country to join in a major effort to increase levels of sustainable and active travel in order to improve the health and well-being of children and young people.

British Council’s International School Award 2021-2024

We were awarded the British Council’s prestigious International School Award in recognition of our work to bring the world into the classroom.

The International School Award celebrates the achievements of schools that do exceptional work in international education. Fostering an international dimension in the curriculum is at the heart of the British Council’s work with schools, so that young people gain the cultural understanding and skills they need for life work in today’s world.

Primary Languages Quality Mark

This s a national award to help primary schools develop their KS2 language provision. We were awardd the Gold Quality Mark in 2019

Jigsaw Flagship Status

We are delighted to report that we have been accredited as a Jigsaw Flagship School!

Flagship status is not an ‘Award’; it is an ethos, a status, a recognition (plus a badge) which signals a professional partnership with Jigsaw PSHE Ltd. The process aids mutual development for Bromet Primary School and for Jigsaw.

Gold and Platinum Green Tree Schools Award

We are so pleased to announce that we have been awarded Gold and then Platinum Award in the ‘Green Tree Schools Award’.  The ‘Green Tree Schools Award’ as organised by the Woodland Trust, encourages schools to take part in environmental projects. The ‘Green Tree Schools Award’ inspires children to learn about their own environment and how it impacts the local wildlife.

Heritage Schools Award

Historic England awarded this to us for our local history learning

National Online Safety

We were awarded this status for our work within the school community promoting online safety.

Thrive Approach

Here at Bromet we are pleased and excited to be part of 'The Thrive Approach' in our setting. Thrive supports children with their emotional health, well-being and social skills. Children cannot always put their needs into words, but the way children behave can tell us a lot about how they are feeling.

Picture News Advocate

Picture News has been most beneficial in supporting teachers to deliver class assemblies. The topical resources are well prepared and provide children with the language to reflect in an age- appropriate way, upon current, relevant and interesting news stories.
